How to Use
- Step 1: Preparation - Ensure the pipe ends are clean and free from damage. If necessary, use a deburring tool to remove any sharp edges (see Figure 1).
- Step 2: Fitting Assembly - Slide the union nut and clamping ring over the pipe end (see Figure 2). Make sure the nut is facing the correct direction.
- Step 3: Inserting the Pipe - Fully insert the pipe end into the fitting until it stops (see Figure 3).
- Step 4: Tightening the Nut - Tighten the union nut by hand and then use a wrench to tighten it a further half to three-quarters of a turn (see Figure 4). Be careful not to overtighten the nut.
- Step 5: Leak Test - Check the connection for leaks by running water through the piping system (see Figure 5). If necessary, tighten the nut slightly.
